Information DSE gathers and tracks

DSE gathers many pieces of information for use in fulfilling user requests. This information includes, but is not limited to name, email address, phone number, postal address, billing address, IP address, time and date login information, and credit card information for users who elect to pay for subscriptions using a credit card. This information is used to fulfill requests and allows our staff to better serve Users.

The information that DSE collects is kept confidential unless otherwise specified.

Registration Pages & Advertising

DSE collects User information at the time of registration through a DSE web site. This information is collected by DSE and stored on our secure web server. Information including credit card information is held in compliance to PCI standards.

Marketing Messages From Third Party Sponsors
DSE often offers selected offers from our partners as part of the registration process for certain sites, services, and products. These offers are designed to assist Users by providing them with valuable information, products, and services from partners who we believe will complement a Users interests. DSE in no way endorses the products or services of these advertisers. When a User selects to receive one of our partner's offers, they are agreeing to receive information from that advertiser. As part of this advertising program, DSE will provide the advertiser with the required information required to fulfill the Users request. This includes, but is not limited to name, postal address, email address, and phone number. Under no circumstance will DSE provide an advertiser with any credit card information from our Users.

DSE offers both a free and paid memberships.

Subscription can require Users to provide us with an e-mail address and other information including name, postal address, and phone number. Users may unsubscribe to any of our paid memberships at any time by following the instructions in the email policy. Paid memberships require a membership cancellation request done by submitting a help ticket on our web site. Users can unsubscribe from the DSE Collect-A-Kit® program by following the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of each Collect-A-Kit email. We operate in compliance with CAN-SPAM legislation, and a third party maintains a "Do Not Mail" list of e-mail addresses which will not receive future correspondence from DSE.

E-mail addresses provided to DSE are kept on a secure server. DSE does not share e-mail address with other companies. DSE does however mail and email for selected advertisers. Users agree to receive offers directly from DSE as well as sponsorship messages from our partners. Users can elect to discontinue receiving third party advertisements from DSE, while continuing to receive free email content. DSE will never sell email addresses, postal information or otherwise transfer to third parties the email addresses of our subscribers. DSE will directly send third party advertisements to Users.

DSE does maintain a postal mailing list that may be used in behalf of approved advertisers who are offering products deemed valuable to our subscribers. Users agree to receive correspondence by way of postal mail from select advertisers. DSE does not control the practices of our advertisers. If you have questions about how one of our advertisers uses information about you when you click their ad and go to their content, please contact them directly.

Delete/deactivate policy

Users may unsubscribe to any of our electronic emails at any time by following the instructions contained at the end of every email. This includes being permanently removed from our list of active subscribers, as well as being placed on a "Do Not Mail" list to ensure that you do not receive further communications from DSE.

We provide Users with free and paid subscriptions to our emails newsletter(s) at the end of their trial period if they do not sign up for a paid subscription.

We provide former or expired paid Users with a subscription to our free email(s) and newsletter(s) at the end of their paid subscription period.

Users who do not wish to receive future issues of free emails following a free or paid membership should follow the instructions within this Email Policy or within a specific email communication from DSE.

Email Advertisements
We utilize email as a communication channel to send information regarding our products and services to our current paid subscribers, free trial members, and subscribers to our free emails and newsletters. We send these email messages only to individuals who have directly requested information from our company (i.e. signed up for a free trial membership or a free email or newsletter) or have or in the past have had a direct relationship with our company (i.e. a previous customer).

WE ALLOW ANY CURRENT OR FORMER CUSTOMER, TRIAL MEMBER, OR RECIPIENT OF A FREE EMAIL NEWSLETTER FROM DSE TO CHOOSE TO DISCONTINUE RECEIVING EMAIL MESSAGES FROM OUR COMPANY AT ANY TIME. See "Discontinuance of Emails" below.

Third Party Email Advertising
We occasionally advertise via email with qualified third party companies that are managing their email database(s) of subscribers in accordance with CAN-SPAM legislation and best industry practices. When we advertise by email through a third party or through an agency, we do so in accordance with the following:
1. The advertisement is sent only to users who have agreed to receive ADVERTISEMENT or SPECIAL OFFER emails from the list owner.

2. The advertisement is sent FROM the company owning the email list

3. The company managing the email list has clear instructions and functionality in place for prompt removal from the email list

4. Our contact information is made available so that recipients can contact us and instruct us not to send future advertisements.

We occasionally send email advertisements and offers to our subscribers or members on behalf of third party advertisers or agencies acting on their behalf, in accordance with CAN-SPAM legislation and best industry practices. PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION OF USERS WILL NOT BE SOLD TO A THIRD PARTY ADVERTISER EXCEPT IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF ALL OR SUBSTANTIALLY ALL OF DSE'S ASSETS. However, as part of this advertising program, DSE will provide the advertiser with the required information required to fulfill the Users request. This includes, but is not limited to name, postal address, email address, and phone number. Under no circumstance will DSE provide an advertiser with any credit card information from our Users. When we send an advertisement or special offer on behalf of a third party or through an agency, we do so in accordance with the following:

1. The advertisement is sent only to users who have agreed to receive EMAILS, ADVERTISEMENT or SPECIAL OFFER emails from DSE.

2. The advertisement is sent FROM DSE or the specific newsletter to which the recipient is subscribed.

3. The advertisement is clearly marked as an SALE, SPECIAL, ADVERTISEMENT or SPECIAL OFFER.

4. There are clear instructions and functionality in place for prompt removal from the email list.

5. Our contact information is made available so that recipients can contact us and instruct us not to send future advertisements.

6. We request that advertisers provide DSE with a "Do Not Mail" file to be compared against our internal list prior to sending an advertisement in order to assure that those who have requested to NOT receive information from the third party advertiser do not receive unwanted advertisements or offers.

Discontinuance of Emails
In accordance with CAN-SPAM legislation, it is our policy to include instructions and means for removal from our database at any time in an automated fashion. We provide instructions for removal at the bottom of every email sent from our company, with the exception of paid subscription membership issues, which require the subscriber to cancel their membership in order to discontinue receiving issues of the publication.

At the bottom of each email communication we include detailed instructions for removal from our email lists, including:

1. Providing a customized URL that allows the recipient to click to our web site and automatically manage their subscriptions, including canceling all email subscriptions or selecting to receive no further messages from our company.

2. Our postal address for mailing a formal request to our company.

DSE maintains a DO NOT MAIL LIST trough a third party email service provider. These individuals will not receive future emails from DSE, including free email newsletters, advertisements directly from DSE. Email addresses on this list will not receive future email messages from our company. Subscribers are encouraged to make sure that the address receiving emails from DSE is in fact the same address in our database by clicking the unique URL at the end of an email message from our company, or forwarding the received email communication to our customer service department so that we may see which email address was the recipient of an email from our company.

Subscription Services

Certain articles of content provided by DSE require a paid subscription in order for users to have access to this information. Users who register for paid subscription services provided by DSE agree to a) provide truthful and accurate information regarding their identity requested in user registration forms, b) on an ongoing basis update user information in order to keep it accurate at all times.

Payment and Subscription Renewal

The current subscription rates are listed by DSE on the membership signup pages of the web site. Individual subscription information, including renewal information and fees are listed in the DSE web site.

Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of the initial subscription period, and users will be billed for the future billing period at the time of renewal, unless otherwise specified at the registration form. Users agree to pay all fees and charges in connection with subscription to a paid DSE service, including any applicable taxes. Users understand that subscription rates and fees are subject to change, and that notice of such a change will be posted on the DSE website or via email. A user's failure to cancel a subscription could result in that user being billed according to the new billing plan once it goes into affect.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Paid subscriptions can be terminated by the user either through the Help Ticket section of the DSE website. Users are advised to receive written confirmation in the event of a dispute arising from a cancellation.

Cancellation will take effect within ten business days of the date of cancellation request. In the event that a subscriber cancels a subscription prior to the end of their current billing period AND requests a refund, the subscriber will be refunded the portion for the balance of their subscription period. Subscribers agree not to dispute refunds with DSE or their personal credit card companies or banks or other payment services.

Ownership of Materials

Except as otherwise indicated, this website and its entire contents (collectively, the 'Materials'), including, but not limited to, the text, information, material, software and graphics contained on this website, are owned by DSE, its designers, and its affiliates. The Materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws and treaties. DSE makes no proprietary claim to any third party names, trademarks or service marks appearing on this website. Any third party names, trademarks, and service marks are the properties of their respective owners.
