You know those over-priced fancy decorative ribbons they sell in the craft stores?
Well back when I used to scrapbook traditionally, I loved to use pretty ribbons. But what always seemed to happen is that I would plan the layout of my page... I would crop my photos... I would pick out the paper... and then I would make a trip to the craft store to pick up some coordinating ribbon.
I hated going to the store right when I was on a roll - creatively speaking. And worse, I hated spending my precious scrapbooking time that I had set aside driving to the store! It was a real drag.
Well, things haven't changed much when it comes to designing my scrapbook pages. I still plan my layout, crop my photos, pick out my digital kit... and find that I’m going to need some perfectly correlating ribbon.
But that’s where things have improved. I don’t go to the store anymore! I don’t even shop online for them! I make them myself. Yes, you read it right... I make them myself. And after watching this tutorial, Ribbon Overlay for PS or PSE, you’ll be making your own designer ribbons too.
And these aren’t those cheap 2-dimensional ribbons that you find on some digital sites. No - these are realistic, appear-to-be-hand tied digital ribbons and bows. I can’t wait to introduce you to a couple techniques! When we’re done, you’re going to want to put bows on everything... and you can!
