When I'm out and about, I keep an eye out for patterns or colors or even architicture  that catch my eye. I sometimes even draw or write notes about them to use at a later date. When I start a kit, I whip out my notes and try to duplicate what I saw. Often, it doesn't turn out they way I remembered it.  But just as often, it turns out better or leads me in a new direction I hadn't thought of before.

For instance, with my newest kit Reminisce, my vacation over Fall Break helped me come up with a jumping off point. Nathan and I road tripped to Cindy and Adam's house, stopping at the Grand Canyon on the way. All of northern Arizona's trees were starting to change colors and we HAD to stop to take some photos of ourselves in the trees. I made notes all along our route of the places I enjoyed, the people we spent time with, and the thoughts running through my head and transformed them into pieces of the kit
